apparently his problems stem from a lower-back complaint that is upsetting his hamstring. He has been told that he needs to be able to run pain-free for two weeks before he will be given the all-clear. Unfortunately these types of injuries don't have a set time-frame and usually come good overnight.

It seems like a week by week propisition for Grothe, I know how you feel, he was going great guns for my VNRL side too.

Much obliged fellas and fella-ettes (just in case - and if so, i am SORRY for calling you handsome...you are of course - RAVISHING instead!! :lol: )

I think Grothe jr's a fine player - even if he does play for your 'orrible mob ;-) - and of course, his Dad was a legend as well - if I live to be 140 I still don't think I will EVER forget THAT try he scored against us in the semis of 82/83-ish where he brutally trampled a good 3/4 of the Dogs players on the field on his way to the tryline!! :? He was a BEAST!!

His son couldn't be more different generally, but every now & then u see flashes of that old Grothe power-running style!

Come back soon anyway Rico, cos Nathan Merritt & Francis Meli are just NOT cutting the mustard in your stead in my side!!! :evil: :lol:
