ESL shifting to the 2-ref System

Haven't seen a thread on this, yet, but read today in Rugby League Week that apparently the ESL are also shifting to the 2-ref system..

The NRL is set to send an envoy to England in coming weeks – to help the Brits adapt to the two-referee system. I’m hearing leading ref Alan Shortall will make the trip to allow the Brits to use the same system as Australia, which will also see two refs handling international games – despite the fact many prefer the old way with just one whistle-blower in the middle.

So, the NRL, fresh from trying to ruin our on field product, also seem to be content pressuring the ESL to also to adapt to our failure of a system. Consequently, one would think that international football is also headed to the 2-ref system. Surely, the sort of football on display at the 4 Nations is evidence enough that 1 ref is all that is required? How arrogant can the NRL be if they are indeed pressuring the English and International Football to adapt to a failed system?

I swear the NRL could introduce Extra Time Multiball and the RFL idiots would look to bring it to Super League the following year.

The only issue with having 1 ref at international level is the Kangaroos try and cheat with their offside tactics. Too bad for them it didn't work this year and they got owned...twice.

If you watch QLD Cup, French Elite, ESL or NZRL, they matches are much better to watch than the NRL.
The intensity is higher in NRL, but it's very dull at times, particularly when you have two bottom teams playing each other.
I prefer 1 referee, and the 4 nations matches (along with the WC) prove that 1 referee is plentiful.

Dont like it but watch the rfl make it work better than here in australia where the referees have no balls and wont make decisions. I think the Australian culture is more to do with why officiating of games and the style of play is a complete joke at the moment
