Well they would only really being showing repeats of the telecasts from England. How could they stuff that up?

It's potentially a step backwards. I'd rather watch it commercial free, at a decent hour and with a replay or two than full of ads, at 5am and no replays. Obviously it's better for people who don't have pay TV but if you're really keen you will. The SL was the reason I initially got Austar.

But not everybody can afford the rediculous rates Fox are charging so why deny the rest ECT?

Lucky you, although the competition may not be as strong from top to bottom in the NRL i guarentee you that the Rhinos and Saints are as good as anything the NRL has to offer.

I don't think anybody from Perth (or Melbroune or Adelaide) should be getting too excited. They will be denied ANY chance of watching it if Nine choose not to show it those states as they do with the NRL. At least on Fox it doesn't matter what state you're in.

Kalgoorlie is 600kms away from Perth so that doesnt affect me. WIN do a better job anyway.

Secondly, the NRL is shown in Perth and until recently was on every Sunday afternoon, but they have done the stupid thing and gone back to thier old habits!
But WIN still show it at the good hour every Sunday at 2.00pm, not that eastern states people give a sh*t.

Fox is available to anyone who can pay for it and anyone who wants it should have to as well. If it's on Nine it's only available to anyone who lives in the areas in which it is shown. ie people who live where it isn't shown couldn't watch it even if they were willing to pay for it.

They could challenge the NFL and have the replay go for four hours. Oh, the joy. 80 mins. game time and 160 mins Ad time. Holden half time could go for an hour. Wonderful!

I think Ten got the NFL rights this year to put on their HD channel. Hopefully thats a sign of things to come.

PLEASE NO! Ch9 Perth have once again dropped Rl so that would mean us not getting the ESL games at all probably. If Fox lose it they'll lose my subscription as well!

That's a very interesting thought. This is precisely the sort of non anti-siphon listed product that could be shown on a secondary channel and would be an ideal complement to a network's major product on their primary channel.
