So has anyone heard or confirm of which teams are going to apply to join next season?

I know of the Charlotte Lions intentions of applying, they are impressing me with the progression and communication to the fans on their plans.

But is there word of the thoughts coming out of the camps of remaining former AMNRL teams, Any of the former Oneieda or New Haven returning. Even any other teams like Iowa or any other city forming teams that someone from Aus havent heard of yet?

Looks like ALL teams will need to submit an application. Deadline is end of October. I believe all current teams and potential teams must file the same documents. An expression of interest and $100 fee.

I glanced at the release that was posted on Facebook. Are actual team acceptance requirements listed anywhere? The statement below gives an idea of what they are looking for in the EXPRESSION OF INTEREST , however, I thought the actual selection criteria would be more quantitative.

"Successful club members will have to demonstrate a robust governance, including evidence to support transparent and democratic processes at club board or executive level; inclusion of stakeholders; a summary of past history and activities; future plans and strategy for club development, management, player/referee/coach/volunteer recruitment and game-day organization and operations."

Any news on former teams coming back into the fold? Or of current teams looking to take a step back and regroup? Would a team looking to regroup still submit expressions of interest?

Evil Homer - not looking for you to hold any ones hand and fill out these forms for anyone, just thought this might be some good information to have out in a public forum  lol

My gut tells me that this is going to result in at least 3-4 AMNRL teams joining 5-6 NORTHERN USARL teams in a premier competition. FAR less 100 point scoring spreads. And maybe, a 3-4 team minor league compition?

I'm anticipating all current USARL teams being involved next year, even Baltimore who are regrouping under their first ever import Daniel Tempest who is heading back to the US soon on an internship with Under Armour.

With regards to former teams, I can't see New Haven, Oneida or New Jersey returning. The administrators just aren't there to make it happen. That's my thoughts on it anyway.

The layout of the conferences is an interesting one and will probably be the toughest to sort out as no one is going to want to play in the lower competition in my opinion. I might be wrong on that but we'll see how it all plays out.

What is the game day roster size? I thought I read that is was 17 players, which seems pretty slim, especially if teams have 3 imports. Since some teams will only be able to suit up 14 local players maybe it will encourage more reserve side games.

But you are right, I can see some teams resisting a move to a lower competition.

17 players in regular season games, 19 in playoffs but that will be voted on before the next season.
