Extreme Warfare Revenge (Wrestling Booking SIm)

Just sent raider_69 off looking for this gem of a game, and thought I might share the love with everyone else.

Extreme Warfare Revenge is a very well made, free wrestling booking sim. The basic database it comes with is a little out of date, but I've got one that's fairly up to date (as of maybe April of 2005) one for people to play with.

The game allows to be play the part of head booker for a promotion. Whether you want to run Raw or Smackdown, lift NWA:TNA to #1, or take the helm of a smaller federation like Pro Pain Wrestling or Stampede Wrestling of Calgary. The database is exhaustive, containting everything from the biggest stars to the lowliest of indy wrestlers. Want to get Bret Hart back? He's in there. Want your main event to be Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake vs Koko B. Ware? You can. Beyond recruting you book cards, hire staff, select a wrestler's gimmicks, and try to compete with the best in the world.

Definitely worth a look if you're a wrestling fan.

I had it a few years ago and the match sim was crap. You used to have the most ridiculous finishes, etc.

Yeah, the results aren't that great, but then the game is about booking more than anything. If you want well written results, join the ASWF.

EWR is way old but still cool, Adam Ryland the guy who made EWR has a new wrestling game now called Total Extreme Wrestling. It is a lot more in depth and a lot better. You can have a look here.

I didn't like Total Extreme Warfare so much, mostly because he's charging a fairly steep price for a game that doesn't offer a helluva lot more than EWR (aside from prettier graphics and background music)

TEW can also be downloaded for free btw
