Made the Junior Kiwi's according to the front page.

Good work for the young fella. Gets plenty of wraps on here.

Fargen gun.

Sign him up for 5 years and give him a duggen go. Every bit as good as Milford at the same age.

He is a real talent. Where do you see his best position? Personally, I lie his as a running 9 a bit like Isaac Luke

In his own age group he's a 9 or 1 for mine.

If he makes it to NRL it will depend on his physical development. He ain't real big just yet.

Probably a 7 if I had to project now

I too think he is good.. But this is the Sharks. Do you really think he will get a go? Why wasn't Peach signed up for 5 years?

As for good as Milford at the same age. He is only 5 months younger. Milford awarded Raiders player of the year. Brown be lucky to get a start, let alone be our player of the year. We talk these blokes up , yet our 20s are a non event. Australia flog the Junior Kiwis , so making their team does not make you a superstar. At this stage, Holmes,Massimo,Lichaa and Brown are standouts in a team that was running last with a few rounds to go before a few late wins. No one posted that Nesi made the Tonga World Cup squad. Must be a gun too.

You're probably right except making the Junior Kiwis isn't what makes him a gun. He just is.

Holmes made the Junior Kiwis as well by the way.

If it came to a choice between peach & Brown for spot at the club webby, which would you have chosen?

Not to surprise or disappoint I would go for Peach. Then again , I would keep both. Unlike a lot of this forum , I have seen both play live. Peach delivered a lot more on the field. But that isn't enough at the Sharks. Brown made his mark with a 4 try performance. He was originally the back up hooker for Lichaa and often overlooked for selection. Gets picked when first choices injured. Your ideal utility Reefy. Also can play hooker. But he played for De La so you must hate him anyway. So who would you choose ? The De La boy or Anthony Milford? Well Frenz thinks Brown is as good at the same age.

oh I've seen Brown. & I think he is the goods. Also think Licha is the goods.
We have them both despite big interest elsewhere.
Both way more important signings than Peachy.
Both specialist hookers. One a complete utility if not a specialist half.
Then there is Punani. Another very very good player. Also locked up.
There is also Soppowanga. Absolute gun. We got him.
Then there are the project types of JRoK. Fafeefs Snr. Etc.
Im very happy with our recruitment & I'm not buzzed about Peachy not taking up the Sharks offer to stay.

So now you like our locals? Lichaa genuine junior. Penani and Brown NZ blow ins to De La.

As we are not in North Korea we all can express a view. Jrok no project. Fifita snr is, but behind Mark Taufua at present. Lot of improvement needs.

I have been to Henson Park about 3 times this year. Try telling anyone there that Soppowanga better prospect than Peach.

Let's stop the Peach debate. No one going to change their mind. As for Penani. Typical of us to lock him up. Will suit the coaching staff and most of the forum. Very little spark and De La junior.

Noticed the lack of reply to local junior jibe.

I would love nothing more than for Licha to come out & stand up on behalf of the shire JRL. It means its not a total write off.
I can see where all of the players I mentioned fit into recruitment & succession planning.
I honestly cant see where peach fitted.

I don't always agree with reefy posts, but when I do they are like the one above.

Succession planning = modern day cliche crap. Of course Peach is not part of the succession plan. No one could be in the succession plan for him either.

Who is in the succession plan at Souths to succeed Greg Inglis? Or Messi at Barcelona. What a load of bollocks. Remind me of how many times we won something then follow the plan. We need something different not a reincarnation of Pom or Tupou.

Next you will say he doesn't fit our structures or doesn't jam in. You talk about Penani. He is a decent local comp player. But he fits the TC succession plan and plays to our structures. Our structures ruined CT IMO.

We are the Sharks let's stop pretending we are a leading edge outfit. Last time we did it led to ASADA.

Where is D Fifita in the plan? Fat overweight twin playing the equivalent of A Grade in France. Guess what, put him through an off season and he will be Andrew. How did the oldest one go to the Cowboys? $BW brother played A grade for Como a few years back. What's the succession plan for Flanno? Can't be Sharpie he doesn't want to do it. Give it to Gall if he is still around.

Sorry Webby, Penani is a fantastic talent with loads of potential.

I'd say he has plenty of "x-factor". He certainly plays what's in front of him anyway.

Will the Sharks ruin it and coach it out of him, who knows? However you cant say that he lacks spark at the moment.

I have seen Brown a number of times this season and he has really impressed me. He is a footballer first and athlete second unlike many of the automatons in the NRL. Like many on this forum I suspect I have a sinking feeling that he will not get a run at any stage and fade away or be snatched elsewhere.
