Well, it's nice to see you've answered my question. Do you think Chelsea this season was capable of beating Man Utd as easily as Barcelona did?

It wasn't really a successful gameplan, although it was minutes away from working. It was quite cynical really. And it would have been worthless if Barcelona had gotten the penalty they deserved in the first leg, because Chelsea would have been forced to play football (although we would at least know for sure now if they could match Barcelona in pure footballing terms).

The thing is Chelsea's goal came from what was a pretty innocuous forage forward. Taking nothing away from Essien's flawless execution, a deflected ball came to him and he hit and hoped. Chelsea scored in the only way they were going to with the strategy they had adopted, a fluke. It was a gameplan that was only designed to give victory in two ways, a lucky goal or a penalty shoot-out. The match pretty much told us nothing about the true qualities of the two sides.

On the other hand, pitted against a much weaker opponent, Chelsea were able to show their real football face in the FA Cup final, and what we saw was not the standard expected of a European Champion.

Rubbish.

Chelsea's game plan was no more cynical then Man United in the CL Semi Final in 2008. In fact Chelsea should of won 3 or 4 nil at Stamford Bridge such was their dominance. There created a hat full of chances and were punished by a bit of quality at the end when it should of been all over.

Again the FA Cup Final, could of easily been 3-1 or 4-1, considering Malouda scored a fair goal. Remember it was 40 degree temperatures, im not sure what you were expecting? Or are you being brainwashed by Craig Foster who doesn't have any time for anyone besides Barca.

Im not saying Chelsea play the best football in the world. Far from it. However they do play to their strengths which is a powerful and physical brand. Winniong 3-1at Anfield they were brilliant, winning 4-1 at the Emirates Chelsea played Arsenal off the pitch. And At times they do play great passing football. They did against Everton on Sunday. Chelsea do need to buy a couple of players with pace and creativity, however over the past 4 months under Hiddink they they been very very good.

I think you guys will be disappointed wit him.

He can be very arrogant and persist with players and team formats that dont work.

Time will tell I guess, but I dont think he could hold a candle to Guus.
