Ok so I was talking to a workmate the other day and the topic got around to Facebook, and how I had noticed a particular someone who had become a regular in my suggested friends list, that particular someone being an ex-girlfriend who I have never, ever even entertained the idea of looking up on Facebook or any other (social media) platform.
My workmate said that for someone to appear in your suggested friends list, without you initiating any contact or dedicated searches for that person, is a sure indication that this person has been checking out your profile - ie. STALKING for lack of a better word.
Facebook are apparently on record as saying that a person appearing in your suggested friends list does not in any way have anything to do with that person visiting your profile, but is actually a "friends of friends" list - how is that possible when my ex is not friends with any of my friends or family either on Facebook or in day to day life?
I know the easy way out of this is to just block this person, which I have. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experiences or opinions on this...
