STILL*at Parramatta and there's been plenty of talk about Souths CEO Shane Richardson defecting from Redfern to get the Eels' front office in order.
We can confirm Eels directors were approached about Richardson but knocked him back because some felt his sympathies were aligned to former CEO and bitter rival Denis Fitzgerald.
That leaves Bob Bentley in charge of both the leagues club and NRL team - a double role that Fitzgerald was roundly criticised for occupying.

Now the part by Terry Bongo

Once again we see a decision made that serves the interest of individuals or a group rather than the club and more importantly our fans.
I hope they have someone better in mind then. He gets on with Fitzy - who cares? We need to have someone with his sort of Football Management/CEO experience ASAP.
It's looking like the only option the current board will accept is a return of Zappia which is far from ideal but at least better than the current situation.(I'm not advocating this BTW) *This hypocrisy of Fitzy being criticized for running both boards and then having exactly the same thing 3 years later needs to be rectified.*
I'm hoping at the next elections that neither 3P or those aligned with Fitzy dominate and take full control of the boardroom again. If neither side rules carte blanche then hopefully we won't end up with appointments that simply favour one side or the other but rather the club as a whole. Our clubs recent history has proven that any group that dominates makes decisions based on self interest and it's high time that it changed.
I'm hoping that several independents other than myself run at the next election like James Phair who is the president of the Parramatta EEls Supporters Club and a couple of people who I have heard that are passionate about our Juniour Leagues.*
I will be voting for worthy individuals including Phil,Muttman and James if he decides to run rather than just voting for a ticket and trying to make sure that we have a board with the best representation possible and hopefully one that puts the fans first rather than themselves.

Now I find this guy to be very agenda driven and in the past some are claiming he was very pro Ossie and had claimed to had a very strong relationship with the rest of the board . I have not been there long enough to confirm but some say he deleted some 5000 odd posts of history to cover up what he had said in the past . I find this slimy and deceitful , Phil and Muttman are smart guys and could do a great job somewhere in the club but unfortunately it looks like they may have promised a job for this guy . What do you guys over here think ?

With all due respect, there is no way known to man that I would vote Tony Bongo as a board member.

Yes, he's passionate, but (IMO) there are other crucial areas that he would fall short in.

If you want someone who is passionate about the fans, then by all means pursue that avenue, but get someone with a bit more nous than the Bongo!

I have nothing personal against Tony, just think he'd make a dreadful board member!

Ahh some logic . We are talking about running the football club here people not who's the biggest fan . Going by the logic of the people claiming that Terry is the man for the job because he's a great fan our board will look like this .

CEO - Tony Bongo

DIRECTOR - Parramatta Jesus

HR Dept - Sparky the Eel

Admin - Vince Sorenti

Did you know that being on the Board does not mean that you actually are in charge of the club ? That you don't get involved in the day-to-day decisions of the business ?

Being a board member allows you to give input from your perspective. Traditionally boards are made up fo different professionals who can bring their unique expertise to meetings so they, as a group, can make informed decisions.

I am confused why you are seeking to question Tony when you know nothing about him.

Either you are jumping at shadows or it's you that actually has the agenda.

I didn't just delete some 5000 posts, I deleted my whole account and left he site for a month because I needed a break from some of the posters over there who have a go at me on a daily basis. If anyone wants to know any of my past views and opinions I have been on this site for three years and there are 1500 posts to look through. I have no doubt some of them will be used against me at some point.
As for Phil and Muttman offering me a job
That came from a suggestion someone made that I would make a good fan liaison officer. I have been calling for one for some time but I have never spoken to Muttman or Phil about me personally doing it.
If I were to get on the Footy Board I most certainly wouldn't accept any paid position as I see that as a conflict of interest. I don't agree with any form of conflict of interest as far as our board members are concerned.
For the record I am running for the football club board and not the leagues club board.

I'm interested in knowing what you think those crucial areas are Oldmancraigy.

I know Tony personally and can vouch for his passion and commitment to the Eels and also know he has a successful business that he has ran for many years and dealt with many employee's and contractors and would have no problems make business decisions in the best interests of the club and members.
I think anyone voting in december can do a lot worse than tony bongo.

I don't think Director is a long enough title for me.

VICE-Director...no...JUNIOR Vice-Director!

PDRLFC, Junior Vice-Director Parramatta Jesus speaking!
