Cherrington

Have to say I forgot about Cherrington. With Halatau probably in his last season with us, it would make greater sense to blood the next gen hooker for WT. Our season is already shot and, unless we are screwed with salary cap, it should be Cherrington over Halatau. Halatau would still be the useful interchange.

It'll be 2 weeks.

No way will Farah relinquish his Origin gig a second time

especially if Ennis is the one to replace him.

perhaps we could blood the next generation of captain as well whilst Farah is out. No point giving the 'c' to Richards, Galloway, Lawrence or Halatau as all 4 may not be there next year. Nothing wrong with these guys helping the nominated captain though.

Cherrington

I caught the game last week and watched Cherrington at work.
Yes, he offers a lot.
Which lead me to wonder why he was overlooked.
Then I noticed how frequently, loudly and Ennis-like he offered his opinions on the quality of refereeing and their decision making to the actual referees.
Hmmm . . . .

What's everyone's thought on Tommy Raudonikis saying that Farah is a bad leader / captain ? I know he was talking about the Blues but I tend to think he has at times shown poor leadership at club level too. Thoughts ?

Always found Farah to be the captain who leads by his actions on the field, not so much one of those stirring orators, or one of those who leads away from the pitch (see his effort at the Campbelltown hurdles last year.)

Farah has his weaknesses but Tommy Raudonikis isn't the person to discuss them. He is a f**king irrelevant and completely embarrassing dinosaur. It's actually f**king cringeworthy that "journalists" continue to ring him when they want a rent-a-quote. Just sad.

Surprised he didn't use the opportunity to pimp his failed Origin themed clothing line.

What a merkin

Yeah, this is pretty much the way I see it too

Farah may not be the best, but he's the best we have available.

It's hard to judge his leadership given there has never been any shown at the club. It's not like he receives much support from those above him when needed.

Trying to think back to else we had over the Farah/Marshall/Sheens years and like now, Farah was all we had. He was the one who consistently played well, led by example and played his butt off for the WT.

We needed Robbie then and he is the only one we have at the moment. Agree 100% re support from above.

My point when I suggested blooding the next captain was based on him perhaps missing the WT games over next x weeks and then prior to the SOO games assuming he is OK, say 4 or 5 games and why give it to those guys who may be gone.

As for Tommy, asking him is like asking one Anthony Mundane who is the greatest sportsmen ever produced in Oz. A waste of time and effort.
