What makes the movie so effective is that the producers aren't trying to fool the fans for a deep and meaningful movie. It's purely there to exploit the rush and style of street race-cars in todays mainstream American environment, and that's it, no-more no-less.

2 Fast 2 Furious is a little bit of a mess, but as for me, the simple and straight forward dialogue in the first movie of the series makes it a winner.

As for the movie its ok nothing great.
