Lady Aurelia top filly

Amazing that the Northern Hemisphere trainers have no qualms about travelling young horses half way around the world.

Our trainers whinge about having to take them to Brisbane

So true about our horses,Lady Aurelia traveled half way around the world last year as a 2 year old and won at Royal Ascot by 800 lengths, does the same as a 3 year this season, our horses too scared to even walk outside and play backyard cricket let alone travel.

Apparently one of the owners said after the race that The Everest was an option for her.

It's 3 weeks before the Breeders Cup so timing wise it works well but obviously they have to weigh up the travel risks etc but that hasn't stopped them so far.

Love to see it, imagine her skipping a couple of lengths clear with 300 to go and then Chautauqua peeling to the outside :sunglasses:

The only problem is that the Royal Hunt Cup is a 30 horse field, how could you possibly tip anything to someone in a 30 horse field,no matter how much you know about horse racing or how much you study that race you know it's complete lottery in the end with a field that size

Yeh he ran solid... watching him over the years I think he wants 1400 with a hot speed and he could bob up, just isn't quite up to the top liners

Yep agree Cougar needs 1400m,there aren't any big 1400m races in Europe which is the problem for him,it's the same problem the Starspangledbanner colt Home of the Brave has always had,he's a 1400m specialist but there's nothing there for him.

Surprised these two have never ran in Australia before.

Coventry Stakes is a big field and lottery every year but i like Romanised each way,k bye

Was last out and ran home for 7th,wouldn't be surprised if it got sold to Hong Kong, the Holy Roman Emperor's are unbeatable in Honkers,he's always in the top 2 sires over there, good horse, gonna have a good career.

Yeah brah he has produced Mongolian Khan who won the Australian Derby and Caulfield Cup and also has had Sheidel who won the Oakleigh Plate
Well aren't I a total derp!

I know he was seen as a dud, but Merkins expect 3 group 1 winners their first crap these days before punting them.
