1. ASICS by a country mile. I bought my first pair in 1980 from the Brooks warehouse for $8 under the Tiger brand.
Lasted for over 10 years.
Bought numerous pairs of their touch footy shoes over the years.
In 2010, I got a pair of ASICS Gel Impression which are still going strong except the tread is getting low.
Latest is ASICS Gel Sonoma which are simply brilliant.
The thing about ASICS is their longevity and light weight. A great shoe.
2. Adidas. Got my first pair of Adidas Rome when I started high school. They were pretty good as were their footy boots. Now got an economy pair which go alright.
3. New Balance. Was given a brand new pair of 880v5 because my mate's foot was too small. Quite comfy and wear good.
4. Nike. Never been keen on the brand because of their unethical practices in the past. Have one pair which are hideously uncomfortable due to a heavily rippled inner sole.
5. Reebok. The less said about Reebok the better. A mate bought a top of the range pair only to have the soles start peeling off after three wears.
Other brands such as Diadora, Sfida, FILA, Under Armour and so on I don't know much about. Any cheap pair that I have worn always split down the outside upper due to my wider than normal foot.
