If you were to name your own greatest Raiders team, using all the players that you have seen playing for Canberra since 1982, who would you pick as your starting 17. Mine would be:

1. Schifcofske
2. Mullins
3. Meninga (c)
4. Nadruku
5. Nagas
6. Daley
7. Stuart
8. O'Hara
9. Woolford
10. Davico
11. Wiki
12. Furner
13. Croker

14. McLinden
15. Walters
16. Clyde
17. Lazarus

Players like Schifcofske or Davico, as good as they are, are nowhere near our best ever player in their positions. Plus Lazarus, Walters and Clyde are just not the best in their positions for the Raiders, but amongst the best of all time in their positions in any club. Walters is widely regarded as the best all time hooker.

This is the best in my view:

1. Gary Belcher
2. John Ferguson
3. Mal Meninga
4. Peter Jackson
5. Brett Mullins
6. Laurie Daley
7. Ricky Stuart
8. Glen Lazarus
9. Steve Walters
10. Ruben Wiki
11. David Furner
12. Jason Croker
13. Brad Clyde

14. Ken Nagas/Noa Nadruku (hard to split them, probably go for Nagas)
15. Chris O'Sullivan
16. Gary Coyne/Dean Lance (hard to split them, probably go for Coyne)
17. Sam Backo

All these players with the exception of O'Sullivan played for their country. I found room for Wiki in the starting line up by picking him at prop, pushing Backo to the bench.

EVERY Raiders fan must have seen the 1989, 1990 and 1991 Grand Finals? Even on tape? Or the 1987 GF?

Oops!! Have David Furner replace Coyne in my starting side, and Coyne to the bench in place of Ben Kennedy.

Favourite, ive over looked some great players because i assumed this was based on how popular they were, i.e I like Davico more then Backo

In my view, Clinton S. can only count as our third best fullback so far.... and a fair way behind Belcher and Mullins.

Your the first person to not put Ricky Stuart in the starting line up. Is he like drew and comes off the bench as a impact player?

well i now dislike ricky too much to be in my starting side.plus chris was a mad player.i tried to put daley is the centres to fit ricky into the halves but i couldnt. it all came down to my most recent memory of the 2. i saw chris kick the field goal in the 89 GF and i saw ricky complaining about players staying down.

thats why ricky got put on my bench
