Round 5 vs Brisbane - always my favourite club game of the year.

Semi-final vs NQ Cowboys - thoroughly enjoyable game which was really 'edge of your seat' football.

Sidenote: Woodgers, like the avatar, GO THE MARINERS!

Well oddly enough my favourite Roosters game without doubt was the final club game of the season against Parra......that game we had rain, hail and shine and we flogged Parra to take out the Minor Premiership (better than nothing) it was Freddy's last Club game it was a very emotional day and when Freddy did his lap of honour the sun came out and shined for him......

When looking back at last season that game is stuck in my memory....not so much for being great footy but a great day for my family.

The grandfinal, the look on Stuart's face was priceless and Walkers Man of the Match performance

Also the semi against the Cowboys. Michael Crocker, what a cat.

the best game of the year was Penrith getting a hiding from Canterbury to make the g/f...

Great post...

I am sorry, but anything coming from a Brett Howland fan when attempting to bag any team in the NRL is funny let alone baggin last years beaten Grandfinalists.

Anything to get a bite from a Roosters fan...quite sad really.

Glad to see you back RG and I have to agree, Freddys last game was the most memorable for more than one reason.

Plenty of people all around decided they didnt want to stay because of the rain, but how could you miss one second.

It was enough to make grown men cry, and plenty of them did.

Hope you and yours had a good chrissie.

Hey RP yeah we had a great Christmas I hope you all did to.....I'll never forget Freddy's last club game one of the most emotional days I've ever had at the footy in fact I can't even recall crying at another match over the past 30 odd years :D When we won in 2002 I remember looking around the crowd to see people in tears about the victory...but gee all I could do was :D

The Roosters v Dragons game on Anzac Day 11-8. I love the Anzac day game more than any other club game during the year. It is always a cracker and last season was no different. The whole day and being able to be involved on such a day. Our clubs are lucky in that respect.

The best and fastest game of the year. Like you said, it's a special day and the players always put on an absolute belter for the great occasion.

And who of course can forget the Freddy 40-50m double side-step try on that day. That was quite possibly the loudest i cheered all season. Or maybe second loudest to Mini's try in the GF because i thought that was it  *still dealing with the trauma*

Of course the 35-0 drubbing of the Dogs sticks out, but my most memorable is probably Round 6 v Knights at Marathon Dustbowl. It was the first home game in 2004 for the Knights and my mate had 4 season tickets. There we sat, in the brand new "grand"stand, on the Northern 40m line, completely surrounded in a sea of Red and Blue and Henny Penny. I was very conspicuous in my standard Roosters game garb and I think some of the older set of Knights fans took objection to my over-exuberant cheering. We won all three grades that day. This is one of my favourite photos from the day. Take note of the sour looks on some of the blue rinse brigade:

LMAO! at m0j0...you have captured the true essence of fair weather Newcastle fans...being from the Central Coast as well, I have copped plenty up their being a Brisbane fan on the losing end at Marathon.

I have been at Marathon many times where Newcastle have been defeated and the fans are as fickle as I have come across...

Great pic
