Twist of Fate is a great song but the less said about Two Of A Kind the better.

I didn't watch much TV in the 80s. Consequently, tend to prefer 70s themes. Not too keen either on mainstream 80s music production.
Ayshea is the first SHADO HQ officer seen in the title sequence. She was an early crush for many of us in the 70s. Alongside her singing career and bit-part acting, she presented a children's TV pop show called "Lift Off With Ayshea". Filmed at Granada studios in Manchester.
Another "unconscious plagiarism" insinuation -
H.R. Pufnstuf & DropnstufIt was like one big psychedlic gay acid trip.
Jan Hammers pieces (both the opening track and those he wrote for each episode) are a big part of what made Vice such a great show. However, the shows true strength came from the actors and the writing. If you want to see some truly brilliant television, check out the episode from Season 1 called Evan (Season 1 Ep 21). To this day it's still one of the greatest episodes of any TV series I've ever seen. The bonus is that the Jan Hammer track for that episode is also the best one he wrote.I didn't watch much TV in the 80s. Consequently, tend to prefer 70s themes. Jan Hammer's Miami Vice theme is a shining exception. Can imagine tuning in to hear it, then tuning straight back out when the programme starts.
A wildly popular theme tune is a mixed blessing. Has the potential to overshadow the show itself. Like when an ad jingle catches on but hardly anyone remembers the product.
This is a curious one. Don't remember a damn thing about these series from the time of their original broadcast. First crossed my radar about 10 years ago as a recommendation after I bought the DVDs of Father Dear Father. Another domestic sitcom made by Thames TV.Here are the full seasons opening themes of 3 & 5
Yep, nobody would be daft enough to plough through 20 pages, let alone 50.The repeats are coming up again but i'm not expecting anyone to go back over 20 pages now![]()
I don't think anyone's posted this one -

Very much mate. Carpenters scores to his films are a big part of why they are so awesome. Escape is definitely his best. Even the ones he didn't do himself (like The Thing and Starman) are absolutely brilliant too.Reminds me of the music from the movie
Excape from New York
Snake Plinskin
Eighties drum machines had a button marked "John Bonham - When The Levee Breaks".Heres another awesome Jan Hammer piece. It's not from TV but rather a pretty cool 80s movie Secret Admirer
