Great news for the club.

Good sign he has faith in the Warriors and coach. Hopefully if Tomkins comes out and performs well we may get a few more PJ Marsh and James Maloney type players and hopefully another Campion type player.

His front rowers aren't providing him a platform to work from. Players come into form when a team comes into form, and we haven't had much of that for the last year and a half. It all starts up front.

He's been a bit average this year, but he exceeded my expectations in 2011 and 2012 and was surprisingly consistent and error free.

This is great news, I am rapt that he is staying. This is great news for the club with our recruitment problems with Australians. I believe this is the biggest re-signing we have had of an Australian player, when Steve Price re-signed it was only ever for one year at a time, and Mateo is a more high profile player than Luck was. Tate would of been an equivalent high profile re-signing but of course he went to NQ. It has not been mentioned but I think Vatuvei re-signing in these difficult times may well of helped get Mateo over the line. This could have a positive effect on our recruitment possibilities in the future.
