With so many women taking part in mens competitions such as:
- Serena/Venus saying that want to play against men as a 'wildcard'
- Anika Sorenston playing in the mens golf tournaments, amognst others
- Layne Beachly surfing with the men
- Karen Rolton playing cricket with lower grade mens teams

Does anyone think it is at all possible for women to start playing in the NRL competition?

You never know ...

No.

With respect to women generally, that isn't going to happen in my lifetime.

But I think it may beinteresting to discuss the same thing for Soccer and AFL. Two sports that aren't based wholely and solely on body contact.

I dunno buddy, there's plenty of big polynesian girls in NZ who'd be more than capable of steamrolling Preston Campbell or Stacey Jones I reckon :p

chicks competing in individual men's sports like golf, tennis and surfing is vastly different to them playing with the boys in team sports, which are rougher in general.
If they want to give it a go, ask a coach if they can join in a training session and they will soon find out if they can handle it. It sucks when a hard working professional athlete has to miss out on a place in a tournament because his place is filled by some woman conducting some novelty experiment.

You just know that if a top woman athlete competes with the boys for a while and is not a star, she will get pissed off and go back to the women's tour and win a lot and get an ego boost again.

I dunno, not everyone has balls, I mean a ball, like Noddy.

Same as the army I reckon, you wanna have a go lady, go for it. Just cop it sweet and don't complain when you get hurt, and accept that being tackled will ultimately result in being touch in the chest and groin area.
But I think they'd be safe from Stevens.

They would probaby complain of sexual harassment when they get tackled and got touched in the groin or boobs. A strong tackle in the chest area would have the chicks writhing in pain on the ground anyway. Apparently it hurts to get struck on the breasts....

Maybe in some of the eastern block countries 30 years ago, but not now. Girls do o.k. at a junior level because they mature physically before boys do. I think girls should stick to touch and oz tag. If they want to play against/with the men, let them join a mixed team.

Woolford should be replaced by Rebecca Wilson. She'd get smashed and she'd probably do less whingeing.

How tragic, bulldogs fans can not just get over Simon Woolford
Bulldog fans claiming Woolford is a girl yet they boost Braith Anasta in their team?
Ironic isnt it?

Sorry, but stupid topic and opens the door up for all the chauvanistic pigs to come out of the woodwork.

Upon saying that, can I just add that I once did a swan dive along my living room floor (Steve Larkham style) and I left my breasts about four feet back from where I actually ended the skid! :D So I wouldn't personally recommend it.

acually thinking about it, canberra would never have to buy a hooker outside our junior ranks, think of the unused talent out at Fyshwick
