so very, very overrated

I have to ask have you seen the boys live?

Not only are they rated as one of the biggest bands in the world by the fans, but also by the people in the music industry. Just listen to some of the bands such as Coldplay, The Killers and even Bon Jovi's latest song. You can hear a big U2 influence.

This is a band that I do recommend people to see. I have seen them twice before and they are great to see. I can't wait to see them again.

Good call my friend!

Early U2 is good but now I just think they are a pretentious, rich man's stadium rock band....kinda like an army of Stings.

Personally I think Bono needs to either concentrate on making music or saving them world. The guy seems to be everywhere.

Saw then in a pub in Dublin just after they released the "Boy" album. Would have been less than 50 people in the pub at the time. Had a drink with Paul (aka Bono) and Adam (Clayton) after the gig. Awesome stuff. Would have loved to see them at such an intimate level later on (I still think "War" was their best work) but they took off after "October" was released and "Gloria" became such a huge hit.

Saw then again during the Zoo tour (in Europe). Technically brilliant and the stage show was very impressive, but not quite the same. The anger and energy that fuelled those early albums had sadly gone missing and I think I'll give them a miss this time around.
