Canberra beat St Geroge in week one and the rest of the top 4 win, means Manly and Roosters drop out


Week 1

• 1st Qualifying Final: 1st (st Geroge)vs 8th(Canberra) 3.30pm Sunday
• 2nd Qualifying Final: 2nd (Penrith) vs 7th (Manly)8.30pm Saturday
• 3rd Qualifying Final: 3rd (Tigers) vs 6th (Roosters) 6.30pm Saturday
• 4th Qualifying Final: 4th (Titans) vs 5th (Warriors) Friday Night

Week 2

• 1st Semi Final: 4th highest ranked winner vs 2nd highest ranked loser (Canberra V Warriors)
• 2nd Semi Final: 3rd highest ranked winner vs 1st highest ranked loser (St George V Titans)

The two losing teams are eliminated, the two winning teams progress to Week 3.
Week 3

• 1st Preliminary Final: 2nd highest ranked winner (from Week 1) vs winner of 2nd Semi Final (Tigers V St George or Titans)
• 2nd Preliminary Final: 1st highest ranked winner (from Week 1) vs winner of 1st Semi Final (Penrith V Warriors or Canberra)

The two losing teams are eliminated, the two winning teams progress to Week Four.
Week 4

• Grand Final: winner of 1st Preliminary Final vs winner of 2nd Preliminary Final (Tigers V Penrith)

Again, just 1 possible scenario

Manly lost - will miss the eight if Souths win, or will finish 8th.

So:

I think we will survive into Week 2 of the finals even if we lose. Can't see Manly / Souths beating Saints AND Canberra beating Penrith.

Would love to chalk up a victory against the Chooks, but them and Souths have beaten us twice this year. Hopefully the 1st half against the Titans was our shocker out of the way.
