I figured going back to reserves meant he was done for this year. Especially carrying whatever injury he has into finals.
He wasnt eligible to play Friday due to concussion and needing 3 days before playing after being cleared. Read an article where the club said he could have the week off if he wanted and he chose to play for reserve grade.

Match fitness is always a bonus at this time of the year

The Warriors have had an outstanding season. They have won a lot of credibility and respect.

But can they now go to another level and perform in the semis?? How many of their team actually have semi final experience??

This is where we have the edge on them.
Just to answer your question off the top of my head.

Shaun Johnson (Grand Final)
Simon Mannering (Grand Final).
Isaac Luke (finals, missed the GF through suspension)
Blake Green (Grand Final)
Tohu Harris (Grand Final winner)
Adam Blair (Grand Final winner)
Pita Hiku (Grand Final)
RTS (Grand Final Winner)

That's Over half the starting team having played in a Grand Final.

Good point. For us, evidently a lot of our players have had finals experience. But GF experience would be only Tamou, Maloney, Merrin and I think that's it.

Ok that makes sense. He'll be named this week then.

Luke, Mannering and Green are all carrying injuries.
Green is good to go, he could have played against the Raiders after his calf strain recovered but the Coaching team decided to be conservative.

Luke has been playing with a chronic shoulder dislocation issue which is why Jazz Tevanga gets to play 60 minutes a game and while Luke is still on the field, to lower Lukes output.
Luke is scheduled to have surgery in the offseason....which in part has delayed a re signing announcement (speculation on my part but it would be a factor for an older player in contract negotiation).

Mannering we are waiting to hear the extent of the Sternum injury but from what I saw he is likely gone....or if he plays he will certainly be a wounded soldier.

RTS has some minor leg injury, he was hobbling toward the end of the Raiders game.

No intel on that injury other than RTS himself saying he will be fine.

Foughts from Fangs:

- 40 second mark. Watching the ref/general apathy in defence after Crichton spills it (Cleary, Mansour main offenders). We were extremely low on confidence at the time but pull shit like this again and kiss goodbye to 2018.

- 3.37 mark. Johnson shirt grabbing Merrin. Blake brilliance at the finish.

- 3.55 mark. Johnson offends again. Egan short to Merrin, soft as shit try. Canberra pulled this play last weekend, Hodgson targeting Johnson. See 48 second mark:

- 1.45 mark. Luai exposing fat Warriors forwards in the centre

So target Johnson. Cleary take plenty of runs in the 20m zone. And just pull your finger at and earn your paycheck in defence.

I didn't know about Luke's shoulder but he was concussed last week.
I saw something about Mannering being in serious pain but Kearney said they would wheel him out anyway.
There wouldn't too many players floating this time of the year without an injury or 2 I guess.

also add:
James Gavet ( Injury unknown) pulled up at the final training run before facing Canberra...no one knows what is going on there...which is very odd....he didn't make the playing side in any case.

My bad

I retract my previous comment

Out of interest though - when did Hiku play a grand final?? was it with Manly?

Need to get Harris infield to isolate Johnson/Hiku. I'd do inside balls more early on run the defence around then back end of the 1st got to weapons on the left.

This is probably even a stronger 17 then the 2014 team at this same stage. Certainly better than 16 and 17 finals side was
