Is there a spot for him at the Sharks?
Is he a 5/8th at a good price?

Firman at 5/8 that's something I've thought about and said a while ago but I've got two points to make
1. He'll probably be injury prone for his whole career- 2 shoulder recos and a broken leg
2. We wont be able to match the $10 billion offer or whatever precise offer it is that the Bottomless Money Pit Roosters throw at him

Also Manly and Canberra and some other clubs are looking for a halfback so I think they will also offer him more cash

We should have never let him go
But last year all we needed was two props a halfback and the rest is gravy

has a few deficiencies in his game but they would disappear if he went to a real club

I don't think we have a spot for him here anymore. Maybe as a deputy to Noddy, but he'd be down the pecking order for that with the rise of Sully.

I hope he goes to a club that actually need him, and not to the Roosters where he'll be stockpiled in PL with Luke Dorn.

I gotta agree SS,at least a bit.
I'd sign Riddell and let Bird go.
I've seen Riddell go hard many times the most memorable was against Brisbane when he forced his way over the line from 10 metres out with 4 Broncos on his back!!!!!
Under the right coach I feel he could do that game in and game out,not to mention convert tries at a better rate than Noddy,...

It ain't gunna happen. Firman left the club on pretty bad terms, not neccasarily the clubs fault, they went with what they felt was a far better option, and I agree, however they hardly swap xmas cards.

We are far better suited with noddy at 7, aitken or hilder at 8/8, releasing bird.
