Fitler - Going to England?

Ive been hearing rumours that it has been in the paper in Australia that Fitler may be going to England next year. Do you know if this is true or is someone winding me up?

well he would be still good enough to play in the ERL, i still think he has one more year left in him in the NRL. However, I have heard the rumour, but I think that's all it is

Ive just been told that we are going to anounce that we have signed him beofre we play Leeds next weekend. It would be great if it was true but i really cant see it. He's still good enough to play n the NRL so why would he want to come to us? It must be a lot of money been offered to tempt him to come to England

I would doubt very much he would pack up and leave for England just at the point in time in his life where he has finally become settled. A new child I think will see stay put. If it were just him and his wife I think he might have gone.

Seriously, Freddy is FAR too good to retire. Despite what most would say, he is too good to give it all away. Let him take a million before he joins our coaching/marketing staff. He deserves the bonus after taking pay cuts for us ... good on him, i'd love it to happen !!.
