Fitzgerald on 2sm about Lyon

I'll try to be as acurate as I can guys ,Fitzy said That:

Lyon would be able to go to penrith as this was for jamies best intrests.

Manly were told to Buzz off because Jamie did not want to live in the city. As per jamies orginal excuse for leaving our club.

Fitzy has no problem with Cleal and he said that Cleal and Himself had spoke the other week.

He said that Lyon was getting sick of serving drinks and was missing the Glamour of the NRL

He said that Parra would welcome Jamie back with open arms and are still hopeful of Getting Jamie Back for 2005,2006 thats if he still wants to come back.

He also said that Jamie has not been released but Parra will only consider penrith at the moment as it suits Jamies needs the best.

He also said that Jamies uncle approached Parra about Jamie going to penrith and when Manly had heard this, Thats when Manly called up.
-------
Fitzy really did not sound like he was going to release Lyon to anyone guys. I think Jamie will be sitting on the sidelines for a couple of years yet unless he comes back to Parra.

If he was missing the NRL that much then Fitzy should be trying to lure him back to Parra! Maybe having him back now would push us over the salary cap? I know its been discussed before but its just too confusing 4 me! #-o

They could always hire a chauffer (how do you spell that) to drive in from the bush and back or better yet, hire a helicopter service.

Still sounds like a crock of shit to me.

No reason why he cant live in the hills and still play for the Eels

If he doenn't want to why done they jsut come out and say it, and end all this speculation.

I think its funny let lyon talk to one club that for sure as eggs wouldn't be able to afford him at the club especially after they have spent most of their money on keeping players and signing others for next season - he will be at the Eels or no where else, I wouldn't mind him at the Tiges next year though lol

Let Jamie come back and take a look at another Club that can't afford him unless he takes a massive paycut.

He leaves with the taste of the NRL back in his mouth, soon to realise that he can only come back if playing for Parra......................

The centre pairing of Tahu and Lyon looks good but after what he did when he walked out when we needed him most was the lowest thing he couldve done. I wouldnt want him back unless he had his heart set on plyaing for parra only.

Will if his heart isn't in it then he can wait to 2007 to play!!!

Parra, such a soft bloody club!!!, and we where once said by the late Peter Frilingos as the " best run club"??........my arse, i've seen brothels run better with less resources.

Lol you said it there, I would prefer to let him go to manly. Not much lyon can do to make it better there. Prob spend a seaosn in prems cause of the talent currently signed to the delmage eagles. I dont care sell him and then we buy a class half. someone who doesnt need nrl experience because they already have it.

Not the point, i wan't to see a club with the balls to stand by there decision!!, like St George with Tallis, he signed a deal, he should honour it, no releasing of any sort.......he shouldn't of even been given a favour by the Eels to play for Wee Waa.

But we have Fitzgerald. Whats the chance of that happening. You gotta wonder what he and smith have against parra. They should do whats best for the club and leave.

Don't hold back Ron, lets know what you really think.

Just a question Ron, would you support him if he wore the blue and gold next year.

I really dont know whether my heart would be in it or not, if he played for us again.

The main factor for me if Jamie was to return would be whether the other players would support him. Kind of like the Blacklock situation at St George, where they asked the players first before agreeing to offer him a return?
