Ray Hadley has been on of Parramatta coach Brian Smith's most vocal critics this season, so chief executive Denis Fitzgerald was quick to fire off an SMS to the 2GB commentator after the Eels' big win over the Warriors last Saturday night - which gave them six points from the past three rounds.
"48-14 - great club, great coach" it read. Hadley, in Athens for the Olympics, replied simply: "You are a goose".

I'm not sure whether Smithy would be amused, proud or offended by this ... nailing the team coming second last isn't exactly the worlds greatest triumph.
