Hasnt been many good 5/8's this year, Anasta and Barrett so out of form in 2006.

I'd say Darren Lockyer,

but Travis Burns and Daniel Holdsworth have been quite good this year.

There hasn't been a standout 5/8th this year at all. When you have to mention Burns and Holdworth (who have both been solid at best) then it is a reflection on how poor the position has been.

Lockyer will probably get it though. Jason Smith maybe? Scott Hill at a stretch?

Certainly not as strong as just about every other position....

Why is it a dud year curiously? This year we have seen Locyer prove to all of you doubters that he has it at the top level at 5/8- in Origin!

I've gone Holdworth. He has been the glue in the Bulldogs and has been very very good as well.

Preston Campbell. I dunno how many weeks he has been the standout Panthers player and also picked for the Team of the Week. His only real mistakes have come from John Lang defending him on the friggen wing.

I went Scott Hill = he's been good for the best team in the comp... be nice to see him win a comp given he missed Melbourne's last one through injury

People have to remember taht these awards go on Dally M Points! Lockyer is right up near the top. He'll get this award for sure. thurston is the only one taht is a chance, but has missed too much football.
