Fixing the escort issue...just jump up with the ball catcher.
It’s not rocket science. By running in front of attacking players and just standing there like an idiot is a very low percentage play which will almost certainly yield a penalty to the attacking team unless we play manly.
Our players need to be coached to jump up with the ball catcher to look like they are attempting to catch the ball but provide protection and space for fullback/winger.
To me it looks like our back three are clueless and scared shitless to catch a high ball.
In my time when I played, we employed this tactic and it never failed.
Mary mini bus needs to act like a coach and teach them these simple but affect tactics.
