When I think of how many games Sloan has lost us through poor defense and a lack of ability to take a high ball, I don't understand why Flanno persists with him.

If you are going to blame Sloan for these things then why aren't you also holding Gutherson to the same standard? I am concerned that we will lose Sloan who is our highest try scorer by a big margin and keep Gutherson who looks like his 1st grade days are quickly coming to an end.

While I'm at it Suli's defence is not the problem its actually Sua's and Flannagan's, they dont release early enough which means Suli and then Sloan have to stay too far in field for too long.

Kyle has cement boots mate he is always caught in no man's land on shifts. He can tackle ok 1 on 1 but he can't read defence and is always caught flat footed back peddling like a deer in headlights.

Ideally, we need a marquee 7 to bridge the gap until Reed is Reed for first grade. Kyle is not the solution, Glover is moving on, and Flanno has been reluctant to recruit a talented 7 to replace Kyle. In 2026, nothing changes except that both LKT and Atkinson will fight it out for the five-eighth spot.

At the Dragons, we seem to off-load a highly paid player for a low-quality player and wonder why things aren't working. For example, Hunt goes, Ilias takes his place, but proves to be not up to it, then Kyle unsuccessfully takes his place.

We need to place a priority on recruiting marquee players for the following:
Our spine
Our halves
Our front row.

In the short term:
We need to recruit a marquee prop.
Ramsey or a new fullback to replace Gutherson.
Cutherson to replace Suli at Center.
Suli to replace Leilua on the edge.
Leilua to join the prop rotation.
We need wingers who are quick and who can take a high ball but most of all who can defend.

I know but i was told they are making a big push for 2027. As if the Roosters will let him go now they are playing hard ball we should learn a thing or two from them & stop bending over for other clubs.

We need players with natural talent who can do all things league on the field. Not just catch and run or tackle and go back and rest. All round players we need.
