Axel Foley crashed his motor scooter at the stadium on Monday, I just saw him on crutches going to phisio and he could be out for 4 weeks. Real shame, I watched the trial last week against Newcastle he scored 2 brilliant tries in about 10 mins of the first half, i noticed how quick hes gotten, bulked up too, I know our backup is OK but nthing like Axel, I told him to get back ASAP, seems a bit disappointed, all the best Axel

His debut was 2006, he played Aust Schoolboys Rugby Union with a mate of mines son in 2004, from memory he played in the NRL during his second year of ever playing Rugby League , bloody remarkable really, Im sure he will become a regular first grader soon, hopefully for the Roosters after he polishes his skills for the blue bags

If different, whatever happened to the other one?

yep its the same one

i recall him scoring a try on debut against the warriors

i'd like him back in first grade at Fullback, with Perret back to centre

I borrowed this from the NSWRL forum: It is a bit old but makes for an interesting read as mentions where a lot of players came from etc. ******

I was wondering what ever happened to Jamie FRIZZO and Riley BROWN . Did we let them go, or maybe they are playing for Rhino's ( injured ?? ) etc . Anyone know anything about them ??

Here's the writeup ( written ages ago though )

The Frizzo deal never happened.

 And I have watched several games as well. Must have been concentrating on the Newtown players and key rooster big guns etc. Sorry mate.;-)

He was named in the Newtown team, so i assume so.

Newtown team

Shaun Foley
Byron Ford
Brent Grose
Toshio Laiseni (Albert Hopoate was heavily concussed last week)
Tevita Folau
Luke Branighan
Luke Millwood
Steve Meredith
Luke Gordon
Khalid Deeb
Mickey Paea
Sean Rudder (will probably drop out for Shack when he returns)
Jimmy Andersen

Rory Kostjaysn
Hep Cahill (Danny Howard injured himself last week too)
Daniel Green
Ray Moujalli

If Shillo or Nuuausala gets cut from the 5-man Roosters bench, expect one of them to play prop for Jets, with Khalid Deeb moving to the bench, & Daniel Green dropping out.

Thanks for that mate. Nuuausala did get dropped from the five man bench apparently, I heard it on the radio in the car yesterday. . Not sure if he played
or not though mate.

I did not see the Parra/Jets game at Ringrose yesterday but heard we won 25 to 12 !?

Did FOLEY play ?

Looks like FOLEY out injured for 8 weeks now. Hope that counts the split round lol...

Buggered !

apparently the injury is not as bad as first thought, out only 5 weeks, I saw him at the movies Sunday, I told him an associate of mine had told me that Wayne Bennet was looking at him for St George next year, he knew nothing about it seemed genuinely surprised, my mate is not normally one to repeat rumours. If its true I reckon Axle would be a goog poker player

You will find that he is a very modest bloke.

So 4 weeks of play at worst after that split round hey. Cheers mate. ;-)

I think we are gonna need him come business end if we want to give the g/final a real shake. He is a talented bloke, and no surprise that saints would want him IMO. They have been signing ex jets for several seasons now quite regularly. And more than most other clubs from what i have seen.

Hope the roosters make him an offer, what with Minno heading out etc etc.

Apparently Foley is running again at Roosters training and should be fit to play in Aukland, with Byron back on the wing our attacking game shoud improve.
