Didn't think it was appropriate for the health and well being forum but do you know of any good food eating challenges? Or maybe done some yourself. Think Man vs Food TV show.

20 years ago my Mum knew a guy who owned a restaurant in Penrith who did all you can eat Ribs. The 1st night he did it he invited a few Panthers along and Mark Geyer eat the most. He used that in his ads. Well that 1st week I went and eat more. In return for not telling people and ruining his ads I got to eat their for free as often as I liked.

  • the mcdonalds menu challenge - eat one of every item from the board in one sitting (fries & nuggets etc, just the one size is fine)
  • 10 cheeseburgers in 30 minutes. i tried this one. i advise against it.
  • 6 litres of milk in one hour. i also advise against this one.

I had an eating competition with a girl at work once during the Christmas party a few years ago. The competition was who could eat the most number of plates of food. We both finished on 6.

We ate sufficient quantities of pizza on numerous sequential visits that made it clear to management that it was a poor financial investment for their business venture through the simple fact that each person ingested considerably more food in terms of dollar value compared to the price charged for 'all you can eat'.

Translation: Teenage males can pack it away like nobody's business.

Either that, or some tomfoolery with a compass....

21 piece bucket in two hours. Very difficult, got in around 1:45 or so.

Three deep pan dominos pizzas with two garlic breads. Took a few hours.

The 10 cheeseburgers in a half hour is staunch. Luckily i was wasted so i did it fairly easily.

A bottle of rum in 45 minutes if you want alcohol poisoning for the next few days. Don't recommend that one.

A hectic one to do if you hate yourself is three raw onions in fifteen minutes. Not good, sticks with you for days.

Can't do any of this any more, but damn i used to be able to eat.

I do not recommend any hot food challenges. Done one and it almost killed me.

Will probably do it again

There is a place around here that has a 2 kilo beef shank chall. Some mates of mine did it when i was out of town and the only person to finish it was a girl. But she did not eat the salad so her photo did not get on the wall. i think that might of been a choice not to finish it fully.

On a buck's party in 1985 we headed off to the Rocks after a day at Rosehill races. Found a nice Italian bar and bistro in Circular Quay.

They had a maxi supreme pizza banquet for $29 designed for 6 to 10 people. I ordered one. The dude behind the counter asked "How many plates?" I said "One".

He replied "No way!!" when a mate said "Yep....he'll eat it all". The guy said "If you eat all of it, I'll give you a free one next time".

The thing was almost the size of a circular outdoor setting table but I demolished it, crust and all. Eventually.

The freebee was honoured but I never went back there.

Done the onion one. Wouldnt attempt the others though. If I wear goggles I can eat onions like apples.

yep, had a similar experience at a pizza hut all you can eat in sydney when we were up there for a rugby trip when i was in year 12..

we got in and sat there enjoying pizza and drinking coronas and generally being well behaved (honestly, we were.. we had a game the following day.. as you can see we prepared well the night before....)

and then they wanted to shut the shop at it was 10pm..

we politely explained that we hadn't quite yet consumed 'all we could eat' and that we weren't leaving until we had received our end of the financial transaction..

the girl then called the manger, who realised that the path of least resistance against about 10 or so semi drunk, hungry rugby players who were not at that stage being a nuisance was to stay open and continue service..

we stayed there for another two hours, eating and drinking.

don't want to know how many times they would have spat on our pizzas though..

There's this place in the Hunter (I don't know where exactly) that has a steak eating challenge. If you can eat a 2 kg piece of steak, they'll engrave your name into the hall of fame in their restaurant and also won't charge you for the meal.

Haha we got banned from pizza hut like 12 years ago. We managed to raid a PE office and take these free dinner work vouchers lol. We were there daily. Like 6-8 of us. In the end they noticed we always had the sports achiever free dinner certificate and called our school haha.

Ahhh being 15.
