... we sure have scored some brilliant tries this year. i really loved sowards try last night, i had no idea that he possessed that sort of pace

Soward is very, very fast... he burned a Storm winger down the line earlier in the year (i think it was Turner)

yeh i remember when he made that run. but the fox commentators were saying he was the quickest player in the club over 100 metres :? surely amos or minichiello are the quickest

and boy does soward have a great long kicking game. for such a small bloke, he really gives it a belting

Soward was incredibly fast. He was flying around the paddock on Sat night.....either that or the Panthers players are super slow.

Does anyone know why he hasn;t been in the side for ages? Is it just so there isn't confusion over playmakers or is there something else?

ricky dropped him earlier in the year (after saying he was our best option at halfback) to allow him to work on a few things involving his game in PL. but he never came back. now that lewis is doing so well, he will find it even harder to get back in (unless we move anasta to the forwards OR wing leaves and we put him into hooker)

i think it may come down to jamies head not being right and still having to deal with the passing of his father.. first gtrade footy combined with that burden on the young bloke adn i dont think it wouldve been wise to throw him into the first grade side.

that and the rise of josh lewis, who has been a breathe of fresh air in the halves, is keeping jamie from regular firsts. fair dinkum lewis is great, the enthusiasm just reeks from the young bloke. dont think there is another player out there at the moment who looks like he's enjoying it all as much as josh.

both josh and jamie have massive boots on them for little blokes. one thing the club is good at its massive kicks. lewis ansta and soward all have give it a good ol whack

and to add to their kicking ability, is their support play! on saturday night, everytime we made a break, lewis/soward/foley were there everytime in support. in particular lewis. they are enthusiastic, they are quick, they have the skills, all they need is the experience and an opportunity to further prove themselves in the top grade

in 2007, IT HAS TO BE:

6. Soward
7. Lewis

HAS TO BE!!!

I 100% agree with you.
Anasta is definately not a stand-off.
Put him in the forwards.

i'd love to see jamie and josh as 6-7. move braith to 13. we have so many players to choose from in the back row next year its difficult to be sold on one team. someone like chris flannery would start in any other side but if you move braith to 13 there still ash and flnanny battling to one back row spot. somewhat a luxury to have guess.

the enthusiasm and ball playing ability of lewis and soward is great and we'll be even more effective nest year with mini back in the number 1 guernsey.

would also love to see alot more game time for Setimata Sa. looks the goods for such a young bloke.

It's on boys for sure. but can you guys and gals come to henson this saturday and cheer on the younger blokes against the equal points leaders of the premier league comp ( parra ) We will need all the vocal support we can get without future champions like SOWARD and LEWIS in the lineup. Come on Roosters fans, come and support your juniors and experience a day at Henson in the clash of the titans for the premier league minor premiourship position !!!!
