Hollywood Rose was the beginning of the Gunners, well at least close to it.....Axl's voice is a little different and there is less insane and out of control screaming - when Axl was still relatively clean and not living the rock star life

Check it out - he sounds like Robert Plant on My Way Your Way - its uncanny

Slash's new band, Velvet Revolver (with Scott Weiland, formerly of Stone Temple Pilots) have just released their first album. Worth a look for the Gunners' fans, especially as it doesn't have Axl's planet sized ego dragging it down.

Unfortunately Slash isnt nearly as prominent on the VR album. Its a good rock album with some songs i really enjoy but its not a 'classic'

I was a Huge fan of GNR and even thought the 2 Snakepit albums were unreal. I rate all those above the VR album.

I must say slash obviously had to keep the theme of the solo but man its heaps better.
