Seems Lyon is linked to just about every other club apart from Parramatta at the moment.

Whats stopping Lyon doing the same thing to a new club Round 1 in 2005.

There is no way that I would be forking out $250 to $300K per season on a scumbag quitter!!

PARRAMATTA

Errant centre Jamie Lyon was managed by Wayne Beavis for about a day and a half at the weekend. "I couldn't get in contact with him - so his uncle is the man again," Beavis said.

and another one.

How many managers does Lyon have

- His uncle
- Wayne Beavis (who I'm sure wasn't his manager before)
- The other guy who's name escapes me
- Noel Cleal

Was the other guy somebody Ennis?
Whatever his name, this former manager has said some pretty unflattering things about Lyon's head/thinking through this saga.
Oh, and I think Noel's official title is "mentor", whatever that means

Alan Gainey is the person I was thinking of

Ennis (Michael) is a Knights player who signed with the Dragons.

Cool. Seems like Lyon has too many people pulling him in different directions, all wanting their pound of flesh.

I think that all this talk is crap. He will not have any alternative but to return back to us. We can afford him now especially with Dykes gone.

Avenger: Who knows maybe the release Parra were waiting for before sending Dykes to the Sharks was Lyon getting "released" from Wee Waa.

Lyon has been playing 5/8 up there so maybe he'll be playing #6 in 2005 for Parra :D

well its not as funny as it sounds......

word has it a big part of the problem was that he wanted to play 5/8 this year something chronic and it waqsn't given the go ahead by BS????

and he has played 5/8 for the mighty (Wee Waa) Panthers every game so far????

Yup, play one game at 5/8, get $150K and bugga off again...that's what will probably happen...

But if Lyon does come back, if you were a team mate, what would you be feeling?

You mean like Cannings? The guy that Jamie was supposedly great mates with?

If I was Aaron, I'd be feeling cheated.

The main reason I came to the club was because my great mate talked it up and he'd be here. Then he walks out.

And it obviously affected everyone. Remember that article where Johnny Morris lays into JL as being a huge factor in the result of this season?

Yup, it's like going to war and your mate runs off!!! And you're stuck in the trenches making a dig and he just runs off....

I don't know.... However, his brilliance could actually motivate the other players again.... I would love to see him at 5/8 though.

the players would have been pissed off and they have a right to be to an extent

but......if JL did come back, things would soon change purely because he is one of the most talented footballers of the modern era

so i think all would be forgiven pretty easily if he did come back, but i don't think its going to happen though :(
