Time to bring some normality back to these forums. What to do with the Sharks?

I think the Sharks (or the NRL on behalf of the Sharks) should offer to relocate the Sharks to the best bid from other towns. That could include Adelaide, Perth, CC, Sunshine Coast, CC, Wellington, Christchurch, PNG or other. Whoever submits the best bid, including engagement from the communities, get to form a partnership with the Sharks which includes moving the team to the town, 80% of home games with 20% to remain at Shark Park. Time to stop screwing around and get the NRL in order.

Agree. Broncos clearly have an issue with loyalty. How many Broncos will continue to defect to rival codes. Blight on the game.

That's right the Sharks are the period of the game.

Piss off sharks no one wants ya. You haven't won a premiership, got no $$ and your team is full of grubs.

better than wingeing about the AFL.

I propose we sell raffle tickets and the winner gets the team.

Seriously a proper merger/partnership would have to benefit the Sharks if they could retain some of their identity. Adelaide could work.

In all seriousness can some please justify why the Sharks should be in the NRL when they were the only team to vote against increasing the cap because they can't fill the gap between the grant and the cap as it is?

We are catering to the lowest denominator here and it is weaking our game and the other clubs who have their act together.

Maybe just like throughout history, evolution and life (real world) if you can't survive/adapt you just die off.

Sharks won't leave the Shire.

Adelaide is a place that is screaming out for a team. They hate Victorians as much as the rest of the country does and could be converted to Rugby League.

When I was living in Adelaide it seemed they couldn't give a sh*t about the NRL in any way, shape or form. That said, they don't really bother turning up to AFL games either so maybe they need an alternative.

In a perfect world the Sharks would have committed to taking games to Adelaide eventually having four games a year there.

They could have got $500k from the SA government for the priviledge, and have a more valuable sponsorship portfolio. In return the NRL would have had an inkling of support in SA making it easier for a team to start up there and we would be closer to a national competition and better media and sponsorship deals.

But what have we got instead, a team in sydney that is on its knees and only two games for the whole of WA and SA.

For the fans sake i hope their redevelopment will get up and the club has financial stability and can concentrate on football.

Something needs to be done about Cronulla i'm not sure what that is but this is where the NRL need to show some leadership and make some tough decisions.
But in saying that we all now the NRL are weak and wont do a thing.

Options for the Sharks.

1. Stay in Sydney and die/get kicked out of the NRL within 10 years.
2. Relocate to Adelaide and become a top tier interstate team, alongside the Broncos, Storm and Titans.

Basically. The Sharks need cashola, and they havent exactly had the best track record of getting it. Moving to Adelaide brings in said cashola.

Sharks need to do a Souths and pull their act together and get some good management, or relocate. We have enough teams in Sydney, let's be honest.

Cronulla needs to be absorbed by the Dragons

To make it easier contact cherie burton and tell her its time to launch an invasion into the shire, annex it into the St. George area and were set

The sharks only have like 6000 fans so it isnt a big loss
If the dragons step in then sharks juniors have a place to go and everyone is happy.

NRL need to show leadership and offer them $2mill a year for 10 years to move to Adelaide imo. Get the SA Govt on board with $500k a year for jnr development and a ground upgrade. Or just let them die a long and lingering death.

If the Sharks think they can survive in the Shire then let them stay. Enough of the weekly merge/kill off/relocate the Sharks threads
