For the Raiders Fans

wow, the Raiders are on top... still early but i can't remember the last time we sat on top of the ladder. It is only early i know but i hope the raiders continue to play well.
What makes it even more enjoyable is the fact no-one tips them in the papers or on tv! This i enjoy, and i know as theseason wears on more and more people will respect the raiders and their team. Honestly, i can't stop grinning...

The way i see it, we should win all our games until our first bye in round 6. The Dragons, Panthers and Eels will provide tough matches but there is no reason that we can't win those matches.

Undefeated in round 7 sounds pretty good.

I agree. I f we are going to be a force this year we have to learn how to win where ever we play and who ever we play. I admit, I have had a hard time containing the smile as well but I don't want to make the mistake of getting ahead of myself.

BTW guys, I will be definitely heading down to Bruce in round seven for the clash against the Dogs and with a little luck, we will still be close to the top of the table.

Remember, the Warriors finished eighth in 2001 and made the grand final the following year.

Ill be happy if we win 2 of the next 3 and realistically that will exceed my expectations for the first 1/4 of the season.If we can do that up to the bye, I think the players will have the confidence to keep up their form against the comps gun sides.

Matt Elliot deserves real credit for building such a well balanced pack and reading the trends in the game so well. We look so much more physical and intimidating then last year and that goes for guys like Lolesi and J.Monas, not just the forwards.

The only thing that worrys me is that if Woolford and Drew have off days we are going to really struggle to post points, especially while Mick Monas and Mclinden are missing or out of touch. It was good to see Lolesi and J.Monas in full flight last week though and Graham gives us a individual spark we have lacked out wide for a while.

I dont want to get ahead of myself either and7th or8th is still my expectation. We are going to have periods in the season where we struggle but unlike last year, I dont think we will lose games because we are mentally unprepared.

I have supported Canberra since 1987 and will always stand by them. Its just the last few years the team has struggled and it just feels good to be on top again. If i feel jubilant Willow my old silly saints pal, i will be jubilant.

i frequently visit this site Willow, i may not be here every day posting replies like you, as i have a life outside this column.

Legend and co will verify my visits are frequent if not persistant, but i don't need to justify myself to the likes of you pal...i just enjoy getting up the nose of people like yourself and to a lesser extent ozbash (he's too easy).
