Forgotten Hero: Louis Neumann - Leeds; Roosters & Orange ?

Hi I am new to The Front Row but exited about the game. I am tracking the career of one Louis Neumann - formerly of South Africa who played for Leeds and the Roosters during the 1960's. Apparantly he went to Orange in NSW and then his tracks disappeared. I would like to pick it up again. Is there any help out there ?

Louis Neumann played for us from 1967 - 1971. AR, I am not sure how you can find him. Perhaps the Orange city council has some type of record.

The Roosters club over the last two seasons has done a register of all ex players that have got in contact with the club. They may have his details as well.

The club got in contact with most of the players for their 100 yrs celebrations, surely they have some contact info.

Thanks for the feedback. Interaction with the club indicated that he never registered for their anniversary. His record as far as the Rooster's goes, is available and has been obtained. I have lost his tracks after the Roosters. I am trying to determine what clubs he played for after Sydney as well as what happened subsequently during the Orange Days. So more is therefore welcome.

Just a suggestion ... you could probably try posting this in the NRL General Section http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71

More people post in there than in the Roosters section ... you never know, you might get a more answers in there. If the Roosters club dont know what happened to him, chances are though your luck may be slim. Maybe even try contacting the Orange City Council http://www.orange.nsw.gov.au/

Just a note to let you know that I followed your advice and thanks to the Orange City Council has track down the Neumann family. Unfortunately he passed away some time ago.

I have found out Lois Neumann ended up in Tamworth NSW where he passed away
