Zak Hardaker: Former Castleford Tigers full-back banned for 14 months after cocaine use - BBC Sport
Former Panther is technically correct lol.
Fullbacks seem to love coke more than other positions
They get lonely and bored standing all the way at the back.
Never has a more stark demonstration of the difference in standard between SL and NRL been on display, as when the SL Man of Steel came to the NRL. The Panthers seemingly didn't want to embarrass him by putting him in reserve grade, but that's where he should have played. He offered precisely squat. He was presumably looking for offers for subsequent years in the NRL, but none came.
Didn’t he miss the World Cup because of coke?
Dude has a drug problem.
This was the same positive test that made him miss the World Cup. He was left out of the England side, then banned by his club, and now banned by UK Anti Doping all in respect of the same failed test.
Oh right. That’s harsh.
You could tell that he wasn't on performance enhancing drugs...
Former Penrith Water boy....
The guy was trash
Second offence I think.
Now Barba getting done after winning the GF on Mad Monday is harsh. What merkins
Former Panther? He only played 11 games for us. He was on loan. He played more for Leeds 154 games.
This one ain't on us.
They don't care. It's a better headline if they call them an NRL star etc.
I know. Give you the shits though.
Lol Hardaker NRL Star.
In his dreams haha. Sure does shit me. I've seen reserve graders mentioned as NRL stars.
The SMH header said "Former Panthers No 1". It is correct, of course, but only just. He wore that number once for us, in the infamous defeat to the Sharks in origin week.
Well Gus did sign him with a clause that he HAD to play first grade....if rumours are true
I don't think he was terrible. Needed time and the right attitude but he apparently has neither that the NRL would require.
That was denied....doesn't mean it wasn't true though.
What is with everyone shitting on his time with us? He wasn't a game breaker or particularly good player, but he definately was not BAD and given some more time had the potential to be a very good player.
The thing about his time with us here is that we were loaded with form outside backs and he was placed on the bench but rarely used. Not really his fault IMO.
Separate names with a comma.
