A few stats I found interesting......
Top Tacklers:
1.Hindy - 34 Always a star performer
2.Wags - 32 This proves why he should be wearing the #13
3.Lyon - 31 Very Impressive

Most Hit-Ups
1.Guru - 13 Yes, he is a winger!!! Proud to have him back with the Blue & Golds :D :D
2.Captain Cayless - 11 Not bad considering Time in the bin, and interchanges. But obviously didn't lead his pack as needed.
3.Wags - 10 Good stuff, although if your 5/8 is getting tackled with the ball how is he supposed to kick or be a play-maker???

Didn't you see the forwards? They were the ones throwing hospital passes, stupid offloads and not making any metres.

If we didn't make as many mistakes we wouldn't of had to make so many tackles.

Some of the passes where just shocking!

Daniels Wagon stats are very relevant.

It shows why he is a forward and out of position at 5/8.

And how creative is he in attack (you don't have to answer that).

Yes, our ball handling skills were extremely poor..... That is from the fact that our off season focus was fitness/strength & conditioning. You'd think we would've done some skill work but looking at last nights performance I think not

Its fair enought that Brian Smith wanted to bulk up his foward pack, but that doesn't mean you go out and buy half a dozen absolute nuffy's

They have had approximately three months to hone their ball handling skills, as well as get fit.
I would have thought though, that players that reach this elite level would come equipped with sufficient ball handling skills.
Apparantly not.

I think that Smith has come into this season with a team that has no balance. If anyone heard his interview on the eels website, they would notice that his thoughts in his selections where purely based on our muscling the opposition. Parra's biggest problem was the fact that the dogs new what the Eels were going to do before they got on the park. All the media coverage of the fact that Parra have brung in some big guys and stuff like that was just like Smith walking into Folkes's office and placing the game plan right on his table. Also Parramatta trying to out muscle the Bulldogs was a damn dumb idea, since the Dogs thrive on tough, combat style football.

If Smith wants to beat the Broncos next week he might wanna get more creative players in the team and also play players in there positions for a change.

Smith said he went with big forwards because of the success of Penrith of last year. :?

Well mr Smith its not about giant pack of forwards, its consistency. Penrith also won that comp, cause they blooded a lot of youngsters who were ready to make the big time. How many Parra players were like that PL in the last few years??? And Smith has failed to see in them. Im sorry to say this but unless Smith leaves at the end of this year, this club will only get worse.

JT for coach.

I think the other problem is we're got a CEO who doesnt know what he's doing. He's the one that signed Smith for another 3 seasons.

John Cartwright is our man! Parra also need a new assitant coach (JT) and other members of the coaching staff.

I like the idea of Cartwright. And another thing Armit and Peek must start as our front rowers.

They do tackling practice but Its mostly pracitce against one out sort of stuff. Theres no pracitce like match practice. Unfortunaltely the most training we got out of the match was chasing down line breaks.

Thanks Alex. Its seems to me that they had trouble numbering up in defence at times. This left huge gaps for the dogs to go through. One that springs to mind is the Willie Tonga try. I hope this is addressed over the coming weeks.
