At the GP this week, when a car has completed the first lap the lap count is 1 and the car is on the 2nd lap. It would be stupid to display 1st for the whole 2nd lap.
Now they might display it as 1/72 or 1 of 72. But showing 1st for the whole subsequent lap would be wrong.
As I stated to you previously, this has come about due to the language the refs use in rugby league. there are many places they terminology doesn't match what is happening,e.g a try is no longer technically a try, but it is the convention used in rugby league.

Unconvincing though. A try still gives you a shot at goal. Only difference is now you get points for the try itself.
Anyway, it's just after 2pm here. Or as foxtel would say, still 2pm until it's 3.
But the previous one is over, in the books and the play is underway.
Well they definitely wouldn't say that it is 3pm at 2.16pm, what are you talking about?
See I made the mistake of conversing with you as if you were an intelligent person, I won't be doing that again.Who knows? Lucky they don't make clocks.

A joke about foxtel and clocks tipped you?
why not think of it as marking how many tackles the defending team needs to make
would that be less confusing for you?
Right beats funny
