Played he's first game for St Helens today and scored 2 try's!

He looks leaner than ever, after training since November he looks in fine shape. He also put in one of he's famous tackles which got all the crowd shouting " ouch!! "

He said only last week that he was gutted he had two horrible last years with the Warriors and blamed that because of personal issues at the Warriors.

We only played Widnes but he became a crowd favourite straight away,

One question guys!!

Does he ever smile ? lol

Never smiles.

So much talent, so much wastage. Could have been one of the best outside backs in the NRL and a Kiwis superstar with his build and pace, but he appeared disinterested.

Change of scenery could do him the world of good.

awesome news

I wonder what the "personal issues" were. I never thought he played as bad as people said in 2004/2005, but he just seemed strangely subdued, he seemed to have lost his ability to break tackles.

I think the personnal problems were the departure of Ali Motu Jerry and some of the other Poly boys. Good luck to him but no loss for the Warriors

Most of the negative comments about him are usually directed at his attitude rather than ability. If he's got his attitude sorted out then he'll be right up there as one of the top wingers in ESL in my opinion.

He wasn't nearly as impressive against Super League opposition I'm afraid to say.

Cost Saints a try with a knock on from a kick and looked frightened of the high ball. He was aggressive enough though and lasted the full 80. He didn't get any ball in attack as his centre partner Willie Talau chose to catch up on his sleep during the game, as ever.

lol yeah that'll happen. Often at the worst possible time. Strangely he also sometimes shows very good ball skills.

and looked frightened of the high ball.

haha yeah that too. Some days he looks a real menace on attack under the high ball and pretty sure on defence, some days he can't catch the proverbial cold.

As long as he looked enthusiastic on attack he should go ok.

I reckon a lot of francis's problems were the same as ali lauitiiti. he wasnt understood.

hes a very quiet bloke who has to know you fairly well to come out of his shell.

if he gets his arse bitten over something, he goes back to his shell.
