From famine to feast

I'm talking about halfbacks, 5 years ago there was only a couple of decent halves in British RL, Harris, Long & maybe Goulding.

But now halfback and 5/8 is one position that GB won't have to worry about for a while, I can't remember so many good young players coming through at once.

Apart from the GB side with Deacon, Long and Horne, Danny Orr was injured and missed out, there is Burrow, Thorman, O'Loughlin and McGuire from Eng A, Rooney who could well be as good as any, Robinson, Briers, Purdham and then a year down the track watch out for Bridge & Brown

Certainly is and there are also players starting to fill other backline positions as well, Rugby League in England maybe heading for a goldern Era.

As i like to say a strong England makes for a stronger code.
