We came away from Shark Park with two richly deserved points on Saturday night, after a very enthusiastic team performance.
Although our start wasn't exactly straight from the manual, conceding a converted try in the first 90 seconds, we seemed to take control of the match from about the 10 minute mark and were never headed from there although we were very "charitable" in offering up opportunities for our opponents just when it seemed we had the game wrapped up.
There were a lot of good performances out there, but the best aspect of the win was the whole "team" nature of what we did. There were times when there were errors made by some players, but team mates were there to help them out. That was the difference in this winning performance.
I will never get sick of watching or talking about Hindy - I've run out of words to describe him but he knows what we all think of him. Matt Petersen was great out there on the left wing and came away with a couple of very good wingers tries, and I was delighted with the impact guys like Webby and Peeky had when they came onto the field. And yes, we were all glad to see Wags get over for his first try of the year - none more so than Wags!
We return home this week to take on the Warriors and we certainly owe them one. It is going to be a big night with another opportunity for us to square up for our previous encounter in New Zealand. Let's all hope the they don't bring the weather with them!
