Reckon that means Flanagan will go. He and Fulton were competing for pretty much the same role.
In Flanagan's defence he's what, 5 years younger? Still a world of improvement, and growth, in the kid so hope we keep him. I'd rather someone like Payten is flicked than Flanagan personally.
Flanno was prettywell a UK superleague rookie so to be fair he has done a decsent job and his UK career will be all the better for jumping straight into the deep end as far as footy goes.Flanagan isn't fit to shine Fulton's boots.
I don't know what guys see as 'potential' in this guy. I honestly haven't seen anything more than a very average park footballer doing an honest job for us but playing way out of his depth. I haven't seen anything to suggest he will ever be more than a park footballer. My opinion:
Fulton is misused. Yet, still does a good job. He's an intelligent footy player and makes the most of his second row position with smart lines, belying his stature. I'd play him at half, as a right sided, second receiving player. His right short balls have been class since i've watched him. He can deliver left. I'm not sure if it's true - but the word was that Farah and Benji wanted him here. He's no half, but that doesn't mean it's not the best place for him in our structure.
Flanagan is potential. The dude has missed out on years of development due to Noble's antipodean policy - with the irony being, he had to come down under to get a run. Again, he's got a footy brain, and has the body to put on size, which I can't see Fulton doing. He's not got the vision or ball playing ability of Fulton. But he hits around the footy. Runs smart, if not brilliant, lines. I'd keep him and allow him to continue to develop. Considering he's played a similar amount of footy, without the youth structure of guys like Dwyer, I can see him becoming a decent first grader.
He's never going to be a world beater, in fact, as a forward, he'd probably do better in the English system... but he's a hard trainer and is also a footy player. I'd keep him around. He won't demand large coin for his ability. I can see him being a good investment player.

f**k! Why not try Fulton at half this season pending Moltzen returning. Hardly a step backwards from Lui.
