Wasteing my time on the internet today and I came across these regarding 2 highly promising Aussie basketballers.

GOing to be very interesting to follow the next few years

Ben Simmons, 6-8

Now that we've had a few weeks for it to sink in, Ben Simmons performance at the Pangos All-American Camp is even more impressive. The 15-year-old Australian was far from home, didn't know anyone and was one of the youngest players. It didn't stop the 6-foot-8 forward. He hit jumpers, he slashed to the rim, he handled the ball and he played with poise reserved for much older players. When it comes time to rank the class of 2015, it's going to be hard to put anybody ahead of him.

Thon Maker, 7ft 14 year-old

No team in the EYBL relies as heavily on two very young players as much as the Jackson Tigers do. On Saturday, freshman sensation Malik Newman and eighth grader Thon Maker were incredibly productive playing against older players.

A 6-foot-5 combo guard out of Jackson (Miss.) Callaway, Newman entered high school with a huge reputation and it's easy to see why. He's fast with the ball, has tremendous explosion out of his first step, changes speeds and can knock down enough jumpers to put defenders on their heels. He cooled off a little in the nightcap scoring 11 after going for 26 during a morning game, but he looked more than comfortable playing up two age groups.

Then there's Maker. We wrote about him at the recent Under Armour Grind Session and we don't want to go too far just yet because of his youth, but the near seven-footer was something else. Skinny and long, Maker plays with a high level of skill and overall understanding for scoring the basketball on the offensive end of the floor. He will score over either shoulder, takes defenders off the dribble and is a very good jump shooter with range to the three point line. He had 19 points and eight rebounds to close out the day against Athlete's First after getting 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks to start the day against Baltimore Elite. He has to get a lot stronger and more explosive off the floor, but again we are talking about a kid who hasn't even started his high school years.

Steven Adams is one from NZ, he's playing for Pitt this year and is projected as a possible top 10 pick for 2013. His sister is the Olympic shot put champion

I am happy to see Shane Harris Tunks get selected, a kid from the Liverpool Spartans a few years ago who stayed loyal To the battlers along with another kid Blake Smith both now playing in the us colleges system, very proud of him.

I predict australia will have more and more players in the nba as time goes on. As a nation we are great at developing athletes, and now the potential for basketball is here in the form of africans.

Ben simmons and Dante Exum making major waves in the US right now.

Ben Simmons played his first games for Monteverde in the semi and final of the national championships and many commentators felt he was the best player on the hardwood, not bad for a sophomore. Kid will go #1 when he declares.

Dante Exum played for the world team past few days and scored 16 points. Fran Faschilla said he wouldnt be suprised if Dante was the best NBA player on the world team 10 years from now. The 2013 edition is considered to be the best team assembled in the history of the NIKE hoops summit and contains Andrew Wiggins, considered to be the best prospect since Lebron

Exum moved up to #3 in draft express latest mock for 2014. If he elects to go to college will be in the 2015 draft but being up so high may change his mind.

2015 prospects like Simmons were eligible to be recruited from last month. Simmons was the first player Duke offered. Kentucky, Ohio State and LSU also chasing very hard.
