Tuggers and West Belco would be worse than Bruce and the one thing you'll never get in a temp set up is protection from the elements which would be a high priority in Canberra.

you can build temporary roofed stands, they did it in Christchurch. Not sure if you’d be easily be able to build something with more than 15-16K though.

When you look at the area, Campbelltown is the place where the club can grow and set up the needed infrastructure. The stadium is right near the train station and leagues club, with space around to complete a decent upgrade.

Good, Accor is a void and no one should be playing regular club games there! Commbank is a lovely stadium with public transport and bars near by. It should have more than one NRl tenant, as should Allianz.

It has a great atmosphere when 15k+ in it, is close to the city and bars of Northbridge, excellent public transport and has great views from everywhere. Basically it is everything Accor isnt for a fan at an NRL game.
Still needs the shed extending, a roof over the new south stand and a new corporate west stand to turn it into a cracking 25-30k stadium. Compared to what it was though it is 100 times improved with the $130mill they have spent so far on it.

Need to remember who pays the bills - the broadcasters. And what they want is full stadiums so games look good on TV. So the answer is not bigger stadiums, but more comfortable stadiums with better amenities, in convenient locations. And with decent hospitality spaces so clubs can also make some money.

True, but you need room to grow and be able to offer deals to fill spare capacity and get new fans rusted on. 25-30k is the ideal size for NRL clubs imo.

If a new Perth club really takes off we could move a couple of big games to Optus. I could see us getting 25k+ at Optus for a season opening game against Souths or Warriors.

Nope, nor will they until Perth gets a sports club that needs a rectangular stadium with a bigger capacity than 20,500. They could extend the shed for a relatively small amount and add another 2k or so to the terracing cheaply.

The west stand would cost $150mill plus going off Penrith stadium costs, they wont do that until its needed and at the moment neither the Glory or Force need it.

Personally Id rather they handed it back to council for development and built a new 30k stadium at Burswood on this land but thats highly unlikely in the current cost of living climate.
