Jesus you are a big negative turd
His hate for RL overrides his ability to hide it .
As much as he waffles on with his crap about how to fix RL from Perth & how much he pretends to live RL …2 things stand out .
A real RL fan would never continually be so negative about just about every little thing .& they wouldn’t spend their days praising their opposition .
He ticks both boxes .

They won't play at Carrara for 5 years. They might play a couple but they will move games from Queensland.

They could always use the Lions facility at Springfield or Allan Border Field for the ODI/T20 fixtures but almost certainly no test matches while the Gabba is under development

Nah, he actually has a solution to everything. It's to show a picture of Perth Oval and go 'but Perth'.

Then show a google maps image with a bit of Perth shaded in.

The game is saved!

Tasmanian fumbleball stadium has yet another opponent -

You know things are bad when even the RSL is against you.
Gil the dill was quoted in the Mercury today stating that all afl clubs have stated and agreed that either we build a new stadium or we don’t get a team. Resorting to threats. They are getting desperate. I can only assume that they want a 20th team as well. Plot thickens. Opposition is growing and threats don’t go well down here.

Smart play by AFL, if NRL were taking the same stance in WA we might be getting a new rectangular stadium for a future Perth NRL club. Its been proven time and again that a club playing in a new stadium is much more financially viable. AFL sweetening the pot by committing $15mill for stadium and a further $130mill on grassroots investment is how you do expansion.

People do not want to hand over $750 million of public money for six AFL games a year when schools, hospitals and houses are absolutely f**ked. And there's already a 19,500 seat stadium in Hobart.

They are absolutely right. Likewise WA would be beyond idiotic to fund a new rectangular stadium when the current one is perfectly fine for AFL, NRL and A-League.

This is all an ego trip from the Tassie premier and unless he wants to find himself strung up from a flagpole in Salamanca Place he'll end up walking away from this.

It’s not just the 750 million for the stadium

they also have to pay the club 8 million pa forever to ensure it’s financially viable

Pretty sure if you asked the public anywhere 99% would say dont spend any money on professionals sports teams and spend it on hospitals and schools. But thats not how Govt's roll.

Not Melbourne

their govt agreed to spend 125 million upgrading the privately owned ethiad and no one batted an eye lid

but in Sydney where they build multi tennanted publically owned stadia the world is going to end
