Peoples!

Help is required!!!

I need to make some selections for a tipping comp I have entered which runs all year long.
Problem is, I need to make selections in advance.

The following sports I am having problems with;
1. Pura Cup - Most runs
2. AFL Pre Season comp
3. Womens tennis all majors
4. QLD Cup - Rugby League
5. Tooheys new cup - Syd Union
6. Brownlow
7. World Series Baseball 06
8. Indy Cart Champion
9. Davis Cup tennis
10. Brisbane premier club rugby

There are plenty more but any feedback on this lot would be most appreciated!!

Ouch! Some tough things to call there...

One of those little russian things for the tennis :D
Cousins for Brownlow...
AFL Pre Season is hard cause some clubs play around with who they play, so it's a bit of a lottery picking that.

Boof Lehman looks good for pura cup most runs.

Some teams take the AFL pre-season more seriously than others. Don't back the teams you might think to be favourites for the real thing.

I'd be looking at someone like a St Kilda or Western Bulldogs for the AFL preseason. St Kilda will be looking to erase the hurt of losing the prelim this year, and seem to have a habit of jumping out of the box early in the year. The bulldogs don't have a bad side and need the money, so they will most likely be taking the thing a bit more serious than other sides

Yes it's a bit of a lottery some of these selections.

White Sox's is one of the MLB sides I was tossing up with. They overachieved last year and should improve again this year. (similar to the tigers) Not sure it will work out that way. The other teams I am considering in the MLB is Florida and StLouis.

PS: Does Ponting win the Border medal hands down? Warne had the best year of his career but not playing both forms might be his downfall!!!

It would look that way, although they raised an interesting one during the cricket today - Mike Hussey. Hasn't played too many tests this year, but has been brilliant in the one dayers, and in his 5 tests has scored three 100s, two of which have been crucial in deciding the game.
