GALLEN EYEING A ROUND TWO RETURN

13.03.07 10:17 Age: 6 hrs
The only leading Sharks player unavailable for selection for the opening match of the 2007 season is strong running second rower Paul Gallen.

The 2006 State of Origin forward was hopeful of being fit to take his place in the team for the Sharks second match of the season against the Gold Coast Titans, with the coaching and medical staff unwilling to risk their star forward prior to him regaining full fitness.
Gallen, who injured an ankle in the Sharks second trial match against Souths in Gosford, is ahead of schedule with his recovery. He completed a searching rehabilitation session on Tuesday morning.
The Sharks are set to start the year in a good position in regards to injuries, with Gallen, Mitch Brown, who has a groin injury, and young centre Travis Robinson, the only players unavailable for selection.

im suprised the media have not had any photos or coverage of him running on this so called 'full fitness' injury as yet

wonder why???

i hope he doesnt needle up to play and return from the injury early - not worth risking it especially so early in the season

i give points for the enthusiasm though

They paid him out in the Telecrap League preview they had in the paper on Tuesday.

It was a bit of a gee up from Reg Reagan

"Paul Gallen apparently signed a lucrative deal with women's magazine New Idea, to tell all the "juicy" details about the love of his life. The magazine pulled out when the love turned out to be himself......"
