Simple.
Moses is now banned from dealing with the Tigers, other clubs can do it why not us.
Get Teddy to talk to Bula about why Moses is a stain, he owes us one.
Galvin to play NSW cup unless the club he is going to makes an offer too good to be true that benefits the Tigers.
Latu now starts when he returns from injury. Ads can be half until then.

And Naden is back, he can take AD's spot.

I feel for you guys because it’s obvious he just doesn’t want to be there. I’m not saying he will come to us but saying no to $6m is very ballsy.

Its only ballsy if you don't already have an offer from another club. I doubt even Moses would refuse to review a 6 Million dollar offer if he hadnt already something similar,

I am ok with all of this except for the part where Benji's coaching is criticized. Not many other coaches would have shown the faith in him to play him first game last year and also give him the freedom to make mistakes and learn. There is no way he is where he is now without Benji.

This is all business and the kid wants to leave so good luck, but the posturing for the early release is poor.

I kind of had this feeling as well. It's not really something he can admit publicly either, so perhaps he sees leaving as the best option.

It's a massive kick in the dick for us but at least we have a decent back up plan with Latu
So it was a master stroke by Tim and Benji to sign a plethora of halfbacks.
And you guys thought we had stuffed up.
Sheer brilliance. Super coach . DalyM coach if the year stuff.
He should have signed two more just for depth.

That’s the game his camp is playing for an early release.
I wonder who his camp is? Serious question, is it his parents who are in his ear, are they dealing directly with his player management. Do his parents attend training, does his manager attend training?

The press have spoken often about him playing for his fav club that he grew up supporting again is that his parents or the player himself.

It's a business, loyalty is out the door, gee, he may never get to play for his favourite club,

Now we read that he has no faith in Benji, that's a total lack of respect towards his boss, someone who has achieved much as a player and may just turn out to be a very good coach. As a 5/8 himself though, I would have expected Galvin to still be in awe of Benji, would have seen the clips and knows that he himself has a long way to go before he achieves what Benji did.

No faith in Benji as a coach, his favourite club didn't do that well with the last coach, 8 coaches last year didn't make the semi's, I think it was the same number for a few years prior to that, I wonder what Galvin thinks of those other coaches?

What I don't want to see now is that the Tigers start to look well below where we want to see them game wise, Brown and DCE are perfect examples, after their recent announcements, Pawwa & Manly just don't seem right.

This all reads topsy turvy, upside down & back the front. Will we ever know the true story?

The thing is, Benji was instrumental in getting most, if not all our new players this season, and a few have said how much they admire Benji, future training sessions will be interesting.
Yes indeed. I said earlier that something like this could derail our chances for a top 8.
But I've had a good sleep and today I'm going to be more positive.
SACK GALVIN NOW!

This young man sums it up pretty well. Especially the part about in the past we would offered more money and dragged it out and in the end look like idiots. Have a listen...

If we know he doesn't want to stay, we should have offered him more money, that then puts the pressure on the other clubs and his manager to come up with a better offer.
You can always rescind it at the last minute.

Some are saying elsewhere that Galvin's disrespectful manager Moses hasn't approached another club or vise versa. Well bullcrap to that.
If everything was rosy we would have just focussed on footy and wait till October just prior Nov1. Get in first.
However Richo smelt a rat and put in an official offer that was huge last week. Of course that rat Moses has worked his craft.
I think the dressing room rant about him wanting to leave was an indication that it was a matter of time.
I wanna know why Galvin's camp has gone the Benji route.
I'm betting that Galvin will be gone mid year and Richo will let it happen if we end up coming out sweet.
He's going to the dogs for sure, quote me :)
I've got a feeling that Galvin will play in this year's GF!
We'll take Josh Curran plus 500k :)
Richo has to make sure that Luai and Bula are locked up long term too and I'm sure he's been talking to Jarome on the quiet to ensure he is happy and won't take up his option to sign elsewhere after Nov1.

I believe Lacky's coments and thoughts around Benji must be true as i cant fathom he and his parents would let such a comment stand whilst knowing the incredible hatred and pressure that will be directed towards him from this day forward. As a parent i would never sit by and watch my childs character be destroyed for any amount of money , usless that is what they have said and stand by. Perhaps they are just shit parents and couldn't care less ...who knows.

Galvin set be dropped for Tigers’ clash with Eels
By Christian Nicolussi
April 15, 2025 — 10.07am

Lachie Galvin looks set to be axed by the Wests Tigers for their Easter Monday clash against Parramatta.

Sources with knowledge of the situation not authorised to speak publicly confirmed Adam Doueihi was in line to wear Galvin’s No.6 jersey against the Eels.

Galvin’s management told the Tigers on Monday they were not interested in any extension from the Tigers beyond 2026, which prompted the club to quickly – very publicly – declare the 19-year-old would be leaving at the end of next season.

“It should be noted that the club has NO intention of releasing Lachlan from his contract, and he has not requested this,” the Tigers said in a statement.

Just how long Galvin remains at the club remains to be seen, especially now he is tipped to be left off the team sheet when it is released at 4pm on Tuesday.

Latu Fainu remains unavailable because of a broken thumb, with Doueihi, who remains without a deal for next year, the front-runner to shift into the halves alongside Jarome Luai.

A full house is expected for Monday’s clash against the Eels at CommBank Stadium. There were already fears Galvin would have received a frosty reception from Tigers fans.

It is not known if Galvin will be asked to play in the NSW Cup.

More to come

After having my rant yesterday and this morning, this is where I see things.

There's a fair bit in the media today about the players not wanting Galvin around anymore, but with no direct quotes aside from Fonua Pole liking a social media post bagging Galvin. I think Benji should get the team together this morning, minus Galvin, and clear the air about this. If it's true and they don't want him around (who could blame them) he can't be picked or included going forward. Parra have failed to get started since Brown signed with Newcastle, and Manly have fallen off a cliff since DCE said he was leaving. Sure, both these teams have their most important player sidelined with injury, but these sort of things can tear a team apart. We don't want to undo all the good work we've done and accomplished so far. Aside from this, it seems the Tigers are a very tight unit.

This means getting rid of Galvin as a priority, or getting him away from the team environment. We need to copy Melbourne's playbook here and only do a player swap if it benefits us. They've tried to set stuff up in the past and the counter offer from the other club hasn't been a joke, but wasn't what they were after so didn't pursue it. So if we can't arrange a swap on our terms, that greatly benefits us, where does that leave us?

It seems in hindsight that the comments made about Marshall's coaching ability, or lack of it, could be a seed that has been planted to entice us to fire Galvin. This would certainly benefit Galvin and his team as he could go anywhere else immediately, and at the same time sue the Tigers for unfair dismissal by backtracking and saying that he (Galvin) never actually said this about Marshall, and it was a media beat up.

Unfortunately rugby league is a business. I'm not sure if any of you have worked in a corporate environment, but if you have, you'll be familiar with a term called 'gardening leave.' This usually relates to employees who are on fixed term contracts so it is similar to the situation we currently face with Galvin. What this term means is that you have someone you either can't or don't want to fire, but don't want around the other employees. It's usually an embittered person who if kept around, would drag down morale and productivity. So what you do is send them home on full pay, with no duties or expectations, and there they stay there until their contract expires. Hence the term gardening leave. You also give them full access to the company's mental health entitlements so that they can't come back to you with that complaint. You've covered your arse legally, and you don't have the embittered person around anymore, dragging down the club from within.

Of course, if the rest of the team are willing to keep him around and work with him, and the media reports are the usual rubbish, then keep him in the system. I'd certainly be prioritising the development of other players though and use him as a cover player only.
