A side note to the Galvin "thing"....as far as I know there's been no leaks about last night's board meeting...the self righteously easily outraged hacks must be really annoyed at this change in WT previously reliable information pipeline!

Who though, it is not like the NFL or NBA where players have no say. Anyone that gets offered up to us has to agree to it. I can't see us getting anyone worth it or that we can't already compete for if they are off contract
I honestly believe we won't get a player in return rather than we get a transfer fee. I can't see a club mid season releasing a gun player to us for LG unless it's for cap reasons.
If they give us an also ran, it would be a kick in the guts for similar players already at our club.
A player that has gone under the radar somewhat is Taylan Da Silva, Galvin's best mate who were inseparable during pathways.
With the club negotiating an extension for our capt Api, which will take him into his late thirties, he will need a bench player for support. I don't think DaSilva will want to play second fiddle for another 4 years.
He'll probably end up in Perth.
We are likely to lose both LG and DaSilva.
Enter Hope. He would be happy to play bench for the rest of his career imo.
LG's loss will free up Luai. Latu Fainu and Makasini will make Luai’s job easier if LG goes. It's to no surprise to hear that the board waited for Latu to get fit to return to the NRL and the breathing space of the bye round before meeting to discuss how to move LG on.

Not sure about TDS, he's only 19, he isn't capable of controlling a team around the park atm, he has basically said so himself.
But agree re Galvin, I no longer see any benefits of keeping him here, but I wouldn't rule out a player swap either, e.g. him for KPP (N'C) might be handy for us?
I think a fee deal at this time doesn't help our cause for this season, but certainly for next season.

This just in, it sounds reasonable, but we supposedly no longer leak shit to journos, so don't know how legit this is, especially coming from this journo.

EDIT: there is now a lot of chatter about this?

The same thing was said about LG.
Api is wanting 3 years, add to that next year too. There is no way that DaSilva will play second fiddle for 3 years especially if club like Perth offer big money. Watch this space I guess.

I've got a lot of time for TDS, but if we are talking him or Api, I'm the Api train.
Though we would certainly need a back up for him.
I would hope it's TDS, but who knows.

I’m hoping this isn’t true for a no.of reasons but my normally very good Balmain source told me on weekend that TDS is going to the dogs

There's is a reason why me made an out of the blue signing of Hope. He's all heart,a good defender and is perfect to give Apu a 10min spell each half.
Hope or DaSilva, either one is ok. Hope won't be in a position to ask for big dollars, anywhere really.

So Galvin and his team have got us in the news, for all the wrong reasons, again.
I'm over it completely, get him gone Richo and cut ties with dealing with Moses for ever.
I think he's a reasonably talented player, and I don't think he's tanking, but the journos have him as the second coming, are these clubs looking at him atm?
I thought he went OK last year and believed it would take time to Gell with Luai, but it's just not working.
Then, the ego thing.

Only if we get something we want, whether that be a player or money, or both. And a signed release stating he won't ever proceed with his BS bullying claim.

Otherwise he can sit in reggies for the next year and a half. Which IMO we should have done in the first place.

But the sooner we can get rid of him, on our terms, the better.
